Practicing the Faith - A Journey into the Gospel of Compassion and Justice
San Marcos Lutheran, 3419 Grand Ave. San Marcos,
; 26 weekly sessions (two 13 week semesters) exploring the call to "do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God." This class is for those who are open to probing questions, lively discussion, new learning and positive action. Our focus will relate to relationships with God, with creation and with others. Sessions will include Bible study, lectures, videos, reading assignments, community building, prayer, field trips, music and fun. Questions will be more important than answers, transformation more important than knowledge.

Sea to Sea Bike Ride to End Cycle of Poverty

The Sea to Sea 2008 Bike Tour is working toward ending the cycle of poverty for individuals, families and communities by raising awareness and funds to support poverty-alleviation programs initiated by the Christian Reformed Church and its partners; motivating people to use their time and skills to help those living in poverty. The tour will take nine weeks, starting on Monday, June 30, and ending on Saturday, August 30, 2008.
