December 9th. over 50 shoppers attended the CEP 1st. Alternative Gift Market. A wide variety of products, many made in Africa, were offered. Shoppers and helpers enjoyed the market and are already asking about next year’s plans!

    I thought the alternative gift market was great. Next year we might try to use a venue that is a bit closer to the church though. That will ensure that at least more people come from Crossroads. But beyond that, why don’t we partner up with some other churches so we have a larger base of people to market to.

    I suggest we have the event at Crossroads. There are some advantages beyond what I’ve described above. Road traffic. We can put signs up a week prior in front of the church and on Twin Oaks. We should get some traffic from that as well.

    Lastly, we might want to think a little bigger and have a carnival with food, things for the kids… It should give all an opportunity to learn about the countries that have significant populations living on less than $1 a day. We could get donations from local businesses…

    Just some ideas.
