Did you stand up?
October 15th. 130 people joined the Stand Up event at Crossroads, San Marcos, to indicate their determination to fight extreme global poverty. In the process they were part of a Guiness World Record for the most people standing in a 24 hour period. This was part of a global day of action to raise awareness about poverty and the need to speak up (or stand up) about it. Pictures can be viewed on www.millenniumcampaign.org. This was one way in which one individual can make a difference. Were you part of it? Don’t despair, there are many ways in which you can make a difference.
